Business, Industry, and Development
Production and Manufacturing Filed
Achieves detailed process control and high productivity
We provide touchscreens that meet the needs of each customer, such as devices and equipment used for business and industrial purposes, devices that require visual confirmation for process control, manual display, work progress check, NG board check, etc. at production and distribution sites, production recipe and tool data confirmation, and processing information illustration.
Application in construction/public works
It can also be used at sites exposed to external light, dust, shock, and water, such as visualization of work conditions at construction sites, monitoring of aging and condition using optical fiber/acceleration/vibration sensors in bridge monitoring, and real-time monitoring (disaster prevention and protection) using water level and acceleration sensors in rivers. We provide touchscreens in a form suitable for such environments.
Glove use and accurate touch detection
In cooperation with group companies, we are able to provide one-stop services such as touchscreens with both long-term supply and durability for production process efficiency improvement, including detection of abnormal conditions and predictive monitoring of equipment using vibration and temperature sensors (product quality improvement and TAT reduction), and touchscreen application products for remote monitoring of shipped products and failure prediction as preventive maintenance services.
Industrial Machinery Field
Automatic control of equipment operation
Machine-to-machine (M2M) refers to the control of machines by machines and the exchange of information between machines without human intervention. Sensors can automatically accumulate and collect operating status and log information as data, and the information can be displayed on a touchscreen for anyone to view, providing the necessary information accurately and intuitively in the form they want to see it.
Information and Communication Field
Real-time control with edge IoT
IoT (Internet of things) refers to a world where various devices (things) have communication functions and are connected to a network. New business value is created by collecting information from devices using M2M technology and sharing the collected information via the Internet. The touchscreen visualizes the collected and shared data. As a bridge to new ideas and creations, touchscreens support a wide range of businesses.
"Resistive film method" is recommended for reliable input and malfunction prevention
Resistive Touchscreens are widely used in factory automation applications, where they are not affected by electrical noise, provide reliable input, and are highly reliable. Resistive touchscreens, which allow input by pressing, can be used with any input medium, making them ideal for factory applications where input may be done with gloves or tools.
"Resistive Multi-touch" is recommended for low-cost multi-touch implementation.
The Resistive Touchscreen is ideal for applications such as factory line operation terminals, where accidental input is not an option. The multi-touch function of DMC's multi-touch Resistive Touchscreen can be used to input buttons that should not be pressed accidentally by using the shift key, further increasing safety.
For gesture operation, "capacitive method" is recommended
There is an increasing demand for gesture operation in business/industrial equipment with a light feel similar to that of a smart phone. Since projected capacitive touchscreens are susceptible to external noise, it is necessary to be careful when using them in a manufacturing environment where various equipment is crowded and there is a lot of electrical noise. DMC has developed its own touch controller and can support adjustment of the controller to suit the noisy environment, so that manufacturing sites can use projected capacitive touchscreens with peace of mind.
